Alan Baxter is a British-Australian author living on the south coast of NSW, Australia. He writes dark fantasy, sci fi and horror, rides a motorcycle and loves his dog. He also teaches Kung Fu. His Gryphonwood titles are the contemporary dark fantasy novels, RealmShift and MageSign, and the co-authored (with David Wood) short horror novel, Dark Rite. He is also the author of the science fiction novella Ghost of the Black- A ‘Verse Full of Scum and numerous short stories. He has a new grim dark urban fantasy trilogy coming out from HarperVoyager in 2014 (currently only in the ANZ region, with hopes for further distribution soon). He authored the non-fiction book Write the Fight Right and leads a popular writing workshop of the same name. His short fiction has appeared in a variety of journals and anthologies in Australia, the US and the UK, including the Year’s Best Australian Fantasy & Horror twice. In his remaining spare time, he co-hosts the ThrillerCast podcast with fellow Gryphonwood author David Wood.
