28/10/2008- A new review of Ryan Span's Street: Empathy has hit the web from author
Monica Valentinelli. She comments:

"Empathy is written in a detective noir meets Bladerunner style with an innovative use of
vocabulary that’s well-blended into the storyline . . . Visual and fast-paced . . . I thought
that Ryan did a great job integrating his world-building into the novel without inundating
the reader with too many explanations or details, which is very challenging in any
futuristic setting, but especially one where everything has changed–including the
political structure. Perfect for cyberpunk fans who like a little edge in their novels."

12/1/2007- Hugo Award-winning author and illustrator Ron Miller has previewed David
Debord's The Silver Serpent and has this to say:

"As an author who has a clear prediliction for strong female protagonists I found myself
very much taken with David Debord's Shanis and her story. He has eminently
succeeded in achieving that all-too-rare accomplishment: a believable heroine---and a
believable fantasy heroine, at that---by a male author. Shanis can be---and probably
will be---placed on the same plane as such classic heroines of heroic fantasy as Robert
Howard's Belit and Red Sonja, C.L. Moore's Jirel of Joiry or Leigh Brackett's Ciaran.
The
Silver Serpent is a superb story told believably and unpretensiously by a superb new
fantasy author."
